Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Review
The Hiring Manager Review stage serves as the first detailed evaluation of a candidate’s suitability for the marketing role. During this step, the hiring manager carefully reviews each applicant’s CV, portfolio, and supporting materials to assess their strategic thinking, creativity, and analytical capabilities. Particular attention is given to experience with campaign execution, content development, digital tools, and any measurable results that demonstrate past success. The goal of this stage is to identify candidates who not only possess the right technical skills but also show potential for innovation and cross-team collaboration. By thoroughly evaluating each application, the hiring manager ensures that only the strongest and most relevant candidates progress to the next stage of the hiring process.
- Stage 2
Recruiter Phone Screen
The phone screen provides an opportunity to explore a candidate’s background in more depth and evaluate their communication style, enthusiasm, and understanding of core marketing concepts. This stage typically focuses on the candidate’s previous experience planning or contributing to marketing initiatives, their familiarity with digital channels, and their approach to creativity and audience engagement. The conversation may include questions about past campaigns, key metrics they track, and tools they’ve used—such as CRM systems, analytics platforms, or design software. This is also a chance for candidates to ask clarifying questions about the role and expectations. The phone screen helps determine whether candidates possess the foundational mindset and experience needed to move forward.
- Stage 3
Interview
The Hiring Manager Interview provides a deep dive into the candidate’s professional approach, working style, and long-term potential within the marketing team. This conversation typically explores strategic outlook, experience leading or participating in campaigns, and the candidate’s understanding of brand development and audience targeting. The hiring manager may ask scenario-based questions to gauge how the candidate prioritises tasks, measures success, and navigates challenges such as shifting deadlines or changing marketing trends. This interview also allows both parties to discuss expectations around impact, collaboration, and career growth. It serves as a final confirmation of fit before moving to the offer stage.
- Stage 4
Offer
At this stage, successful candidates receive a formal job offer detailing compensation, role expectations, working arrangements, and onboarding timelines. The hiring team aims to provide full clarity on the responsibilities of the marketing position, available resources, performance targets, and potential career pathways. Candidates are encouraged to ask questions so they can make an informed decision with confidence. Once the offer is accepted, the team initiates preparation for onboarding and ensures all documentation is completed smoothly and efficiently.
- Stage 5
Hired
The hired stage marks the beginning of the candidate’s journey as part of the marketing team. New hires receive access to all relevant systems, tools, and brand resources, along with an introduction to key stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Early onboarding focuses on familiarising the employee with ongoing campaigns, marketing processes, audience profiles, and the company’s strategic objectives. Support may include training sessions, shadowing opportunities, and regular check-ins with managers to ensure a seamless transition into the role. This stage sets the foundation for impactful contributions, helping new team members feel confident, supported, and ready to participate in meaningful marketing initiatives from day one.
